Tunel de las Morenas

Travelling time: 15 minutes

After El Cau and some 80 metres before the Cap de Frares, it is part of a land fissure. One of the entrances at a depth of 10 metres is a narrow 30 metre long tunnel which you cannot back out of nor see the light at the exit.

Inside there are numerous shy cardinal fish, small shrimps, grey wrasse, and star fish which are the only inhabitants protecting actinias, anemones and sponges.

This is not a dive recommended for those with heart problems or who suffer from claustrophobia as at the exit 12 metres away are several camouflaged morays usually waiting to say goodbye.

Spotlights or torches are a must on this dive. To complement the dive a visit to its surroundings is made down 25 metres to an uneven seabed where mother of pearl abounds.
